Hello people,
We are officially back on the road. Had a great time over the last 10 days visiting family and friends and being a part of the marriage of Lucas and Sofia. Denton was lovely but HOT. Yesterday we endured the longest flying day or our lives! We left Dallas on a 6:20am flight and arrived at our final destination, San Jose California, around 11pm. That is 19 hours if my math skills serve me correctly. We did have a nice layover in San Diego so we spent some time by the water eating greasy seafood and riding a pedicab. We also spent a good chunk of the day developing a plan for the future….a big task for people like us. The options seem to be hitting us left and right. This is bad when you are as indecisive as us.
For now we’re sticking with the plan. Our route has us heading up through Eugen and Portland Oregon, Seattle, Vancouver Island, Victoria Canada, and Calgary. This should take about a month. We’ll see about that.
We have about 4 great non-profits that we are almost ready to highlight on here. Very inspiring stuff for Lindsey and me. There is also a need for the second month update on here. We met some amazing people and had some crazy stuff happen. It’s all written on my laptop, which I don’t have at the moment. While in Denton my computer decided it didn’t want to work anymore. Luckily I had two months left on AppleCare and it was fixed! Unfortunately, it had to be fixed in Dallas so we’ll be meeting back up at the FedEx store in Eugene later this week.
I just wanted to jump on here and give a super brief update. Thank you faithful readers! Thanks for checking in and saying hi and leaving nice comments! We had a nice little break and visit back home, but now we’re back to “work.” Keep in touch and hopefully we’ll see you soon on the good road.

It was great to get to see you guys! I love the new layout and can’t wait to hear how things go!
Hi guys,
It’s Jamie, from Cambria. It just kind of came to me when I read that you are going to Eugene that you will be going right past my parents. They live in Roseburg, a little more than an hour south of Eugene. If you needed a place to stay, they would be more than happy to put you up, and my dad is a great cook! Let me know if you want to contact them.
Praying for safety in your journey!
Jamie
Your journey seems so amazing and it’s so inspirational. I spotted your bus on 2nd St in Long Beach, CA (my home town) and I see that you two are headed my way. I now live in western WA (where my husband is stationed). My husband, our two roommates, and I (we’re a growing family… we started out with one roommate and now we’re at two) would happy to lend a hand in any way possible while you’re in the area.
Out of CA and into OR! K and I are taking our first trip out to to N. CA in about a month. Just got back from a house concert that you both would have loved. Acoustic, intimate, and moving. See you soon at the shows…
