Northern California proved to be as beautiful as we imagined. Napa Valley is as far north as Lindsey and I have ever been, so it was a delight to venture into uncharted territory. The Redwoods are incredible. They are huge. They are really hard to photograph. The ocean is cold and the skies rarely break open to allow the sun to peek out. When they do it’s glorious. It took us one week to make our way from San Francisco to Eugene, OR. Once we entered Oregon we passed streams of crystal clear water covering the ground in front of us with rocks, trees, and mountains perched above. A few hours later we were in Eugene where we spent a good 4 days living life with the Campbells (Stowe and Sarah and boys). They are awesome people with a great heart for ministering to college students at the University of Oregon. Eugene is a great town with hiking, wineries, Saturday markets, great coffee and beautiful sunsets. Here are some images we captured during these days. If you like what you see you can buy any of the shots and many others from our PHOTO STORE. These are all in the “Northern California and Southern Oregon” album. Your purchases help us continue to fund the trip. Right now we are living 100% off of savings! So every photo bought is a big help. Thanks! Enjoy.

These pictures are amazing! So glad you were able to stay with the Campbells! When/if you make it Nashville I’ll give you Sarah’s best friend’s number (my old leader and the only reason I knew they lived there) and you can stay with them too
I saw you guys driving through Portland on Friday. (8/27) The van and the gnome caught my interest and I looked up the website. Very, very nice! I have made several trips across the US and Canada and I am overjoyed that others are able to experience such an adventure. Good luck on your journeys.
From Cambria, Caliofornia, north to the tip of Washington, —- finest part of America. Of course, lots of other chunks of fantastic beauty in our great land, but nothing so large, so diverse, yet so incredible—sandy beaches, driftwood beaches, coastal forests, rainforest, alpine, glaciated, high mountains, gem lakes, crystal clear streams, red mesa dry country, great cities & small towns; the ‘Northwest’ has it all.
